Translation surfaces according to a new frame
In this paper we studied the translation surfaces according to a new frame called q-frame in three dimensional Euclidean space. The curvatures of the translation surface are obtained in terms of q-frame curvatures. Finally some special cases are investigated for these surfaces.
متن کاملCharacterizations of Slant Ruled Surfaces in the Euclidean 3-space
In this study, we give the relationships between the conical curvatures of ruled surfaces generated by the unit vectors of the ruling, central normal and central tangent of a ruled surface in the Euclidean 3-space E^3. We obtain differential equations characterizing slant ruled surfaces and if the reference ruled surface is a slant ruled surface, we give the conditions for the surfaces generate...
متن کاملDual Space Drawing Methods for Ruled Surfaces with Particular Shapes
Ruled surface design and its applications are widely used in CAGD (Computer Aided Geometric Design) and industrial areas. The hyperbolic paraboloid, the cylinder, the cone, and the hyperboloid are ruled surfaces with particular shapes. In this paper, dual space drawing methods for these particular ruled surfaces are proposed. The underlying principles of these methods are the applications, exte...
متن کاملRational curves and ruled orders on surfaces
We study ruled orders. These arise naturally in the Mori program for orders on projective surfaces and morally speaking are orders on a ruled surface ramified on a bisection and possibly some fibres. We describe fibres of a ruled order and show they are in some sense rational. We also determine the Hilbert scheme of rational curves and hence the corresponding non-commutative Mori contraction. T...
متن کاملRuled W - Surfaces in Minkowski 3 - Space
In this paper, we study a spacelike (timelike) ruled W-surface in Minkowski 3-space which satisfies nontrivial relation between elements of the set {K, KII , H, HII}, where (K,H) and (KII , HII) are the Gaussian and mean curvatures of the first and second fundamental forms, respectively. Finally, some examples are constructed and plotted.
